Round Robin Schedules and Tournament Brackets, by Players, Courts, and Rounds
YepMatch builds match schedules for small tournaments, leagues, club nights, and school or office events from your players, courts, and rounds, right in your browser. It's a scheduling tool for games and sports, not a dating or matchmaking site.
Formats
Round robin
Every team plays every other team once. Enter how many teams and courts you have, and add names, a start time, and a match length if you like. You get a schedule by time slot and court, a card for each team, and a list of matches.
Rotating doubles
You play in pairs, and your partner and opponents change from round to round, as in a pickleball or tennis round robin. Enter how many players, courts, and rounds you have and whether to pass byes around. You get a schedule by round and court, a card for each player, and counts of how often each two players are partners and opponents.
Single elimination bracket
One loss knocks you out, and byes fill the first round when the number of players or teams isn't a power of two. Enter how many there are and their names. You get a bracket to print and fill in by hand, a card for each player, and a list of matches.
Double elimination bracket
Two losses knock you out. A loss in the winners bracket sends you to the losers bracket, and the two bracket winners meet in the final, with a second game if the losers bracket player wins. You get a bracket to print and fill in by hand, a card for each player, and a list of matches.
What you can enter
- Round robin: 3 to 32 teams and 1 to 16 courts. The number of rounds follows from the number of teams.
- Rotating doubles: 4 to 24 players, 1 to 6 courts, and 1 to 24 rounds.
- Single elimination bracket: 2 to 64 players or teams. The number of rounds follows from the number of players.
- Double elimination bracket: 3 to 32 players or teams. The number of rounds follows from the number of players.
The tools don't accept entries outside these ranges. Standings, scores, and moving winners on to the next round aren't included.
Checks, printing, and links
- Checks: after a schedule is made, a separate count reads it again and shows each count next to what it should be. When a target isn't reached, the result says so and by how much.
- Printing: print the full schedule and the cards for each player or team separately, with your browser's print.
- Links: the link holds your entries and a seed, so it opens the same schedule. Nothing is saved on a server, and there's no sign-up.
How schedules are made and checked explains each format, what the checks count, and how links and versions work.
